    4 Characterization of Andrographolide

    The presence of Andrographolide on the extract was measured by using Flexar™ High Performance

    Liquid Chromatography. To prepare the samples for HPLC analysis, each were further filtered using

    Samplicity™ Filtration System with a hydrophilic PTFE 0.45µm filter. A mobile phase of 48% v/v methanol
    and 52% v/v water was used for all the runs with a cycle time of 4 minutes, flowrate of 2 mL.min -1, and

    UV detector at a wavelength of 255 to 220 nm at the retention time of 0.62 minute.
