Thoughts on recent columns
Something’s gone haywire. I find myself agree-
ing with some liberal columns lately, but there’s a
big “but” as always. Leonard Pitts wrote a few days
ago that black men need to “man-up” (my term)
when it comes to women, and especially black wom-
en. I say ALL men need to treat ALL women with a
lot more respect. The same goes for women treating
men. Obviously, I’m talking about mature people,
not just those whose IDs say they’re adult.
Mona Charen wishes for a “party of reality” to
replace the current two major parties. If either
political party will stop being concerned first and
foremost with their own backsides, and focus entire-
ly on what’s good for America, that party will domi-
nate politics for many years to come. I forget who it
was that said when the voters find out they can vote
themselves money, democracy is destroyed. That’s
the main plank of the Democrat Party -- ”free” stuff
for everyone!
Zack Plair thinks “perhaps we’ve forgotten how
to treat each other as human.” Once upon a time
everybody knew the Golden Rule, but then God was
removed from schools, public places (courtrooms,
city halls, etc), and families drifted further away
from Christian ideals.
Froma Harrop thinks Nancy Pelosi is a “model of
self-control.” She is a retired test pilot from a broom
factory, and doesn’t care about the American people
in general. She insisted that President Trump end
the partial government shutdown before she’d Political musings
