Assumptions: Ss won’t have problems with the grammatical


form of the verbs should/ shouldn’t; will/won’t and they will
easily grasp their meaning
Anticipated problems: Some Ss may encounter difficulties when
having to choose between should or will

Activity 1.
Warmer
Aims: -to create an adequate atmosphere for the Ss to
express their ideas
Timing: 3’
Class management: Individual work

Procedure: T makes the presence and asks her Ss „How are
you today?”; T checks homework

Activity 2.
The Statue
Aims: to help the Ss memorise the vocabulary used to describe
the different parts of the human body.
Timing: 10 minutes

Procedure: T divides the class into teams and chooses a
’’statue” from each team.. The team with the most correct

answers is the winner. These students play the role of models.
The others receive piles of post-it notes with the words of the
different parts of the body. The task consists of sticking the
post-it notes on the bodies of their models in the appropriate
places.
For correction, they receive a photocopy with the drawing of a
body + vocabulary.

Activity 3
Practice
Aims: to read fluently in English; to extract requested
information., to express an opinion by giving advice
Timing: 15 minutes

Procedure: Ss watch a slideshow and with their group, they
have to give advice to some troubled people.

Activity 4
Aims: -to revise and reinforce previous knowledge;

Procedure: Ss receive some worksheets and they have to fill in
the gaps with the missing forms of the verb “should” or “will”.

Activity 5.
Sink or float
Aims: to expose Ss to activities dealing with the verb will/won’t
Timing: 10 minutes

Procedure: T collects a variety of objects that will either sink
or float in water. T fills in a large, clear plastic container with
water and distributes copies of the exercise sheet. Ss have to
share their answers at the end of the class.

Aims:-to consolidate and to practise the acquired information


Timing: 2 minutes

Procedure:T sets homework, ex.1, 2 and 3, page 87 and explains
them what to do
