Student Report on Progress

Student-Generated & Evidence-Based

Name:
This is your opportunity to have your say!
The school is required to communicate about your progress and learning at
school. Who knows more about that than you? You are the expert about your own
learning journey, so you are going to use this slide deck to collect evidence about
your progress at school and begin to describe your learning journey, including
current strengths (things you know, understand, and can do), next steps and goals
for the future. Not only that, but by learning to think about and describe your own
learning and progress, you will be learning something called “metacognition,”
which is something that will help you to learn even more.
Develop a Growth Mindset
Having a growth mindset will
help you in school and in life.
Recognize that you can grow
your intelligence and abilities
over time, whatever your
current level is. As you work
on this report, bring a growth
mindset to the process.
Student Behaviour, Attitude, Effort, & Work Habits
Instructions: Place (copy and paste) the following skills and behaviours into the
column (on the next slide) that best describes your behaviour, attitude, effort, and
work habits at this time (each one should go in at least one column).
