To Whom This May Concern,
I would like to recommend Ms. Haley Leser for any K-5th grade teaching position. I have had the
pleasure to be Ms. Lesar’s professor and supervisor during her time in the College of Education.
While at the University of Arizona Ms. Lesar completed her methods courses with outstanding
performance and grades. Ms. Lesar achieved competence in planning and instruction, content
mastery, and organization. She spent time in various classroom settings throughout her field work
and student teaching. She will be completing her student teaching in the Sunnyside Unified School
District in 4th grade this spring. She will demonstrate knowledge of her individual students’ goals
and needs while fully planning for instruction.
Aligned with the Arizona College and Career Readiness standards, Ms. Lesar’s lessons in course
work were highly engaging and culturally responsive. Her knowledge of the curriculum allowed
lessons to be designed to meet the diverse learning styles of the students in the classroom. Ms.
Lesar is learning to be aware of students’ interests, strengths, and needs. She will learn to use
formative assessments to analyze students’ progress and guide her instruction.
Throughout her semesters in the Sunnysied Unified District, Ms. Lesar has exuded
professionalism. She took advantage of opportunities to spend time in a multitude of classrooms
and attend many trainings and seminars. While she is new to the teaching profession, she will be a
fully capable and effective teacher. At the same time, she is always looking to improve herself and
is learning to grow from constructive feedback.
Ms. Lesar demonstrates a strong passion and dedication to education and success. With her work
ethic, time management, communication skills, attention to detail, and dedication I am confident
that she will be an asset to your school system. Please contact me if I can be of further support as
Ms. Lesar completes her student teaching internship.

Sincerely,

Trina Zimmermann
