IRC 37-2012 Tentative Guidelines for the Design of Flexible

Pavements.

Additional Specific requirements

1. Civil/Structural modifications in existing building shall be designed using the code used for existing
building design refer old CSA design basis 1564-CI-ADB-X004. New buildings & structures shall be
designed using latest codes as highlighted in above section.
2. Conbextra GP1 grout shall be used for all equipment and below all structural columns.
3. For Geotechnical data latest report from M/s CEG to be preferred.
4. Galvanised Structural steel and TMT bars to be considered.
5. Use of SRC in place of PPC/OPC to be considered in cell house acid plant, Leaching and purification
areas.
6. Bitumen mastic 10mm thick coating to be considered for substructures.
7. Acid proof tiles along with PVC to be considered in areas prone to spillage of solution with Furan
bedding.
8. Acid proof lining with PVC to be considered for all effluent drains.
9. Acid proof epoxy paint/coating to be considered for superstructures in cell house, acid plant, Leaching
and purification areas.
10. Stainless steel false ceiling to be considered in place of gypsum board.
11. Acrylic emulsion with coat of primer over prepared base with cement putty to be considered in place of
white/colour wash for painting of internal surfaces.
12. Provision of vitrified tiles of premium brand to be considered for non-plant buildings.
