BUILDER AND RESULTS 2012.10 GENERAL RELEASE (2012.105.G)

This General Release contains the following new features which have been added to Builder/Results:

- Improved support for visualization of geomechanics boundary conditions in Builder.

- Trajectory smoothing functionality has been added to Builder. Through this feature you
can view problem nodes and resolve highlighted issues with trajectories, insert and delete
trajectory nodes, eliminate kinks, interpolate between nodes, update an existing trajectory with
the smoothed version, and export the smoothed trajectory to a Builder-formatted trajectory file for
later import.
- FlexWells now supports the REPLACE keyword through Builder, which allows a given
FlexWell to change a PRODUCER for an INJECTOR and vice versa. This is supported in the
Events table.
- In Builder/Results, a Formula Manager has been added which replaces the old formula
functionality. It provides a centralized location for managing formulas.
- The biggest changes can be seen in Results Graph, where a user can treat a formula like
any other property which allows you to make use of functionality such as "Repeat Plots".
- The Import Black Oil PVT wizard in Builder now supports multiple PVT regions.
- Builder supports dataset with grids refined in Node based format.

LIMITATIONS TO THE HYDRAULICALLY FRACTURED WELLS FEATURE

When creating a fracture or SRV at a date later than the simulation start date, Builder will add the refined
grid definition at the simulation start date. The fracture properties, however, will be implemented at the
actual fracture date. This will not affect the numerical results when the dataset is simulated but it may
cause the simulation to run slightly slower due to the increased number of grid blocks.

CREATING AVI MOVIES IN 64-BIT VERSION OF RESULTS

The creation of AVI movies in the 64-bit version of Results may produce a movie file that cannot be read
by Windows Media Player. This problem is likely caused by the codec used for uncompressed videos.
Using compression and selecting an appropriate codec will in most situations generate a valid movie file.
