About APCOM Technical Program
„APCOM“ means „Applications for Computers and Big Data and IT from Resource to Mine
Operations Research in the Minerals Industries“.
APCOM is a bi-annual series of well established high
quality scientific conferences performed all around the
globe which was started already in the early 1960‘s.
The APCOM 2019 in Wroclaw is the 39th APCOM.
The APCOM is a major driver of innovation in the miner-
als industry, facilitating the advancement of computer
and operational research methodologies applied
to the minerals industry. Thanks to the personal com-
mitments of APCOM’s loyal participants and support-

ers, the APCOM symposia continue to be a thriving
success. A lot of break trough innovations have been
initially discussed or originated from the APCOM
conferences like e.g. Geostatistics and Mining Process
Mining Goes Digital Optimization. One of the success factors of APCOM is
the intensive high quality dialog between Industry and
Academia.
June 04 – 06 The APCOM 2019 in Wroclaw is able to host up to 500
participants in the modern congress center of the Tech-
nical University. High focus is given to the quality of the
Wroclaw, Poland technical program and the papers.

The APCOM 2019 is an absolute „Must“ for everyone
working with digital solutions in the mining industry, both
in academia and in industrial practice. It is the perfect
meeting place to create high-level international contacts
and to exchange ideas for upcoming successful
projects.The APCOM focuses on APPLICATIONS for
Computers and Operational Research. All papers to be
submitted and presented in English. If you plan a publica-
tion of research results or you want to submit a prac-
tice-oriented paper in the areas outlined in the technical
program please submit your abstract.
Your abstract should fit into the Scientific Program
of the conference. If you have an abstract which you think
fits for the conference subject but is not explicitly men-
tioned in the program, please feel to submit! Selecting
a track is not mandatory for abstract submission!
Copyrights and Publication
The Copyright of the paper submitted remains with
the Authors. This means that any author is free to choose
whether he wants to go for an additional open access
electronic publication or publish the paper in a journal
following the conference.
It is suggested, that the APCOM2019 claims the right
of FIRST publication. By submitting an abstract,
the author(s) assign the non exclusive copyright
to the organizers of the APCOM conference for publica-
tion of the abstract and the full paper in the conference
proceedings, both in electronic form (media, web)
and as printed document.
This means that any author is free to choose whether
he wants to go for an additional open access electronic
publication or publish the paper in a journal following
the conference. There is a possibility to publish high quali-
ty papers in the internationally indexed MiningScience
Journal (http://www.miningscience.pwr.edu.pl/).
