TEORÍA
1. Comparativo de Superioridad.
Para comparar las cualidades dos personas o cosas.
Hay que contar el número de sílabas de la palabra:

-Adjetivos de 1 sílaba: añaden –ER. Example: Small: smaller, Tall: taller.

Cuando estan formados por consonante+ vocal+ consonante, doblan la última consonante.
Example: Big: bigger.

- Adjetivos de 2 sílabas: pueden añadir –ER si terminan en –y, -ow, -er, o bien MORE para el resto
de adjetivos. Example: Heavy: heavier; more handsome

- Adjetivos de 3 o más silabas: añaden MORE siempre. Example: More intelligent.

Sentences. Él es más alto que yo: He is taller than me.

Ese libro es más interesante que éste. That book is more interesting than this book.

2. Superlativo.
Para destacar las cualidades de una persona o cosa sobre un grupo.

- Adjetivos de 1 sílaba: añaden THE……-EST. Examples: Tall: the tallest. Big: the biggest.

- Adjetivos de 2 silabas: añaden THE…..-EST si terminan en –y, -ow, -er, o bien, THE MOST para el
resto de adjetivos con otras terminaciones. Examples: The heaviest, the most handsome.

-Adjetivos de 3 o más sílabas: añaden THE most… siempre. Example: The most intelligent.

Sentences:
Sara is the most intelligent in the class. Sara es la más inteligente de la clase
Peter is the tallest in the basketball team. Peter es el más alto en el equipo de baloncesto.

Hay ciertos Adjetivos irregulares que no siguen las normas anteriores.
