EDU 3003 Assessment 1 – Reflection 1

Leadership is one of the most important topics in our society nowadays. A great leader must

be able to influence the minds of others, direct and motivate them, and achieve goals.

(Kolodziejczyk, 2017) The person who can disseminate positive in their communities. There are

many examples of good leaders such as parents, presidents, scientists, philosophers, and

prophets. Based on this view, my mother is the most consistent inspiring leader in my life. She is

my biggest supporter and my first effective teacher who helped me in taking the first step of my

life, and whenever I fell down she would be there to encourage and guide me. I am fascinated

with her character. She has a positive influence on other people, as well as she is a hardworking,

strong-willed and fantastic mother.

My mother has several skills that would make her a respectful leader, such as humility,

selflessness, and integrity. An example of humility, she would do her best to help everyone. She

taught me to be fair in every situation I might encounter, and always listen to both sides before

taking any decision. She is a creative teacher who loves her job and works with passion. She has

a clear vision of what she wants and would work hard to achieve it. She is dedicated to raise her

students’ level and deal with their weakness. Furthermore, she is an honorable and faithful

teacher in the school, who respects and celebrates with school staff, teachers, and the training

teacher. Another important skill that drew my attention is her communication capabilities

because she is a charismatic and knowledgeable speaker in all of her teaching classes.

To me she is a flawless mother because she taught me how to improve my self, deal with my

weakness and turn them to strength, take responsibility for the future decisions, communicate

with others, be motivated, and learn from other people experience. I’m proud to be her daughter

and hope to be a role model for my children just like her.

I consider myself a down to earth person who cares about others and looks after them.

Also, take responsibility for my actions and decisions. Furthermore, I’m a good listener and

analyzer. In addition, I am a positive person who sees every obstacle in my life a chance to

improve my self.

The most considerable similarity between my mother and I is our humility because both of us

like to help other people and listen to them. For example, if they face a dilemma I give them the

advice to solve their problem. The sense of responsibility and commitment is also one of the

similar trains between us, as we both work hard to achieve our goals.

On the other hand, my mother has some unique qualities that are different than mine, which

I try to have them in the future as a leader. For example, she accepts new challenges and respect

differences in opinions. Further, she is a creative and an effective teacher in the classroom and I

will try my best to be like her. Another noticeable skill, she has a high level of communication

skills in a public speech. Also, I admire her dedication for her children’s. I would love to have a

similar vision and determination. Finally, I must try hard to develop myself in these aspects in

order to be a great leader with a good influencer.
