Reflection 1

Leadership is a person who has succeeded in their life by having a clear vision and identifies

the aims they want to reach. Through “establishing achievable goals and providing followers

people around us with the knowledge and tools necessary to achieve those goals.” ( Rouse,

2017).

In a short period, one of the best leadership whom I truly found in my society is H.H. Shaikh

Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi., he is a member of the Supreme Council and the ruler of

Sharjah city in the UAE. Also, member of Minister of Education, United Arab Emirates,

President, American and Sharjah University of Sharjah. (Qasimi, n.d.).

The animated reason of chosen Dr. Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi as an effective leader

for me because he has a clear vision to share it with others. For instance, her vision in Education

was “Proper education is a safeguard against destructive ideas”. (Qasimi, n.d.).

The second reason is that he motivates people by providing the energy and all recourse that we need

to achieve the goals. The third vital point of aim he is empathy precisely emotional intelligence. Which

means the leader put themselves in the place of others, understand what others people warning about

it and give them the opportunity to listen to them by giving them support. My point of view, this way

more success to achieve the warning point and be more successful. (Qasimi, 2017)

My leadership qualities that inspire I found myself more tolerance with other people and

know some warning and solve the problem. In addition, I found my qualities are communicated

with other people by listening to the views of others and share it and I encourage and welcome

opportunities to collaborate with others. Furthermore, another my qualities are personal

effectiveness through recognize my own strengths and areas where I need development.

The dignities similarities between Dr. Sultan Al Qasimi and I. that the characters that we have

it connect us through make more challenge in our life. Moreover, Dr. Sultan and I, which is

communication skill, we have the ability to talk and interact with the people easily. Furthermore,

Dr. Sultan is helpful because he provided a chance for a student who can’t join the university by

giving them a scholarship. For me, I’m also, helpful person in my society and environment

helping the needy through give them money or buy new clothes for poor people. Also, Dr. Sultan

motivated children in their school by provided language program that they will develop their

basic skills in their language such as, writing, reading, and speaking. While I urge my sister and

friends to study hard through reading and develop the skills they need to improve their self.

(Qasimi, 2017).

On the other hand, there are different quality between Dr. Sultan and I which I hope to get it

in the future. For example, Dr. Sultan has many high degrees in his education level. Like, he has

a lot of degrees. Likes, Bachelor in Agriculture, and Doctor in Political Geography of the Gulf.

On top of that, the differentiation Dr. Sultan is more organization about his time because he

finishes his work on time and doesn’t waste it. However, sometimes I waste my time by done my

work on the last time because I spend my time with my family and play games instead of,

organize my time to finishes my duties.
