• Anything hackers create as a part of this event belongs to them,
regardless of mentorship they may receive during the event.
• You are here to assist the hackers, but not to do work for them. Tinkering
is fine, but you should not be writing any significant amounts of code
yourself.
• You have signed on as a mentor, not a recruiter. You should not be
collecting resumes or aggressively promoting your employer.
• Your organization has agreed to a set number of mentors at any given
time. Although you may stay beyond the end of your chosen shift, you
are expected to leave when the next shift begins if you are not registered
for it. If a scheduling conflict arises and you need to fill in, please contact
HackBeanpot staff.

R ECRUI T ERS
• Each organization has been allocated a table in the sponsorship area.
Recruiting is to be confined to this area, and should not continue into the
hacking area.

• Your organization has agreed to a set number of recruiters at any given

time. If another recruiter from your company arrives, one of you must leave
so this number is not exceeded.

R EL E A S E A N D WAIV ER O F L IA B I L I T Y
This Release and Waiver of Liability (“Release”) confirms the agreement between myself,
__________, and The HackBeanpot Team (the “Organizers”) regarding my participation in HackBeanpot
(the “Event”) in accordance with the above Participation Agreement, Code of Conduct, and Rights of
Attendance (the “Terms”). In exchange for my participation and presence at the Event, located at the
Catalant Technology offices (the “Venue”) located at 25 Thomson Place, Boston, MA 02110, I hereby
agree to and signify my understanding of all of the following:
• I am at least 18 years of age.

• I hereby represent and affirm that I have read, have complied with, and will continue to comply with
all the rules, regulations, terms and conditions set forth in the Terms; that all of the information I have
provided and will provide to the Organizers has been and will be true, accurate, and complete; that I
have not perpetrated and will not perpetrate any fraud or deception in connection with the Event; and
that I have not sought to influence the outcome of the Event other than by participating in the Event as
expressly permitted in the Terms.

• I agree to observe and obey the Terms, and further agree to follow any oral instructions or directions
given by the Organizers, or by the event staff, representatives, or agents thereof.

• I recognize that there are certain inherent risks associated with the above activity, specifically to my
personal property, and I assume full responsibility for any theft of, loss of, or damage to any belongings
that I willingly bring with me to the Event.

• Furthermore, I, for myself and my heirs, executors, administrators, legal representatives, successors
and assigns (the “Releasors”) hereby release, forever discharge and agree to hold harmless, the
Organizers and the Venue, and their respective administrators, legal representatives, officers, directors,
employees, subsidiaries, affiliates, divisions, parents, predecessors, successors and assigns (the
“Releasees”) from and against any liability for any and all claims, demands, losses and liabilities of any
nature whatsoever which I many now or hereafter be entitled to assert, whether caused by, contributed
to, arising out of, or otherwise related to the Event, the prizes, or my possession, acceptance, use or
misuse thereof, or my other acts or omissions in connection therewith.

• Specifically, the Releasors hereby release the Releasees from and against any and all liability for any
loss, damage, injury, expense, demand, or cause of action that I may suffer whether with respect to
personal injury, death, damage to or destruction of property, theft, or otherwise that may arise as a
result of my presence in, upon, or about the premises as a consequence of my use of the facilities and
equipment.

• I will indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees, collectively and individually, from any and all losses,
liabilities, damages, demands, costs, and expenses that they may incur, for any reason whatsoever
that may arise as a result of my participation in the contemplated activity, and my presence in, upon or
about the premises.

I acknowledge that I have read this Participation Agreement, Code of Conduct, and Waiver of Liability.
Further, I acknowledge that I fully understand the terms of this Participation Agreement, Code of
Conduct, and Waiver of Liability and acknowledge that I have signed it freely and voluntarily without
any inducement, assurance, guarantee, or oral representation being made.
