Female are often under-represented in the fields of engineering, both in

school and in their job, yet there’s a vast number of female engineers that

contribute in the development of this country. The researcher wants to find out

the numbers of women that take an engineering course in University of

Batangas.

The Following samples are the numbers of female students in 50 section of

University of Batangas:

The Illustration above show the Mean absolute Deviation of 3.94 and the

variance of 22.8 with a standard deviation of 4.77.

Overall, this statistic shows the reason why the female engineers are

under-represented in their field. It is because of the small number of female

engineering students that they became recessive in their section. The large

number of male influences the representation in the field of engineering, and

their domination greatly affects the portrayal of their job that marginalize the

female engineers.
