OPERATION MONITORING MAINTENANCE

Our Opticaster software
control systems connects
Powerpack to the grid,
automatically res ponding to
service requests. The system
can perform unique
applications like load
shifting, demand response
and peak shaving. Or
customers have the option to
integrate their own control
systems with our Powerpack
units.
Access to our web-based
monitoring portal that
delivers real-time data and
alerts on the performance of
your Powerpack system. The
system monitors and reports
on uptime availability,
savings and revenue over
time.
Our team performs annual
onsite inspections,
diagnostics and preventive
maintenance to address any

With global service centers, staffed by our rapidly expanding network of field
service technicians, we offer 24/7 support for troubleshooting, failure analysis
and part replacement. We ensure high availability of factory certified spare
parts and access to our team who can di scover, locate, and resolve issues to
lower mean time to repair maximize system uptime and performance.

 C APACI TY GUA RA N T EE
Our Capacity Maintenance Agreement (CMA)
is a service offering in which Tesla guarantees
an agreed upon energy rating from the
Powerpack system for the term of the project
contract. The CMA assures energy capacity
for the lifetime of the project.
CMA terms are offered for 10, 15 or 20 years
and can either be paid upfront or on an annual
basis. A CMA system is still covered by
Tesla’s standard Limited Warranty, but the
CMA replaces the energy retention curve
(which shows capacity degradation over time)
section of the warranty. The CMA provides
owner confidence that the system and
investment will maintain the agreed upon
energy rating.

 RECYCLI N G

Tesla’s Lithium-ion batteries contain valuable materials that can be recovered and recycled for
further use in batteries and other applications. Tesla has developed, and is working to further
improve, a method for recycling our products.

Currently, Tesla’s recycling process involves the following steps:

At the batteries’ end of life, the customer will take care of

decommissioning and transporting the system to the nearest Tesla
certified facility for disassembly.

Valuable components will be removed from modules for scrap metal

recycling by Tesla certified personnel.

Modules will be packaged for shipment to the nearest processing facility

capable of recycling Tesla battery modules.

Constituent metals recovered from modules will be further refined and

used in new applications.
