I. REGISTRATION

Good evening. May we request everybody to please properly fall in line for the registration.

Once again fellow students, please proceed to the registration area before we formally start this wonderful
evening. Thank you.

All the contestants, students and guests are requested to take their seats. The program will begin in a few

II. OPENING CEREMONY

EMCEE 1: Good evening ladies and gentlemen. We welcome all of you to our Medicine Night 2019. We also
express our warm gratitude to _________(mention the important persons na umattend) and all of our professors
who shared their precious time and enjoy this night together with us. We’ve had a very busy yet fun week filled
with activities and competitions which aimed to promote fitness, sportsmanship, and of course, camaraderie.
But tonight, we are gathered once again for a truly glamorous night.

EMCEE 2: Yes, you’re right ________. Tonight is one of the most anticipated events of LYCEUM COLLEGE OF
MEDICINE because this is a break from our usual white lab gown and nerve wracking examinations. And instead
of spending the whole night with our voluminous readings, the ladies are here glammed with their stunning and
elegant haute couture gowns while the gentlemen are groomed exquisitely. What a beautiful evening it is!

EMCEE 1: Medicine Night is also a night for the showcase of extraordinary talents! But above anything else, we
are most excited for the search of Mr. and Ms. Medicine 2019. Who will take home the most coveted crown? Is it
from the first year? How about from the second year? Let me hear it from the third year? Or will the winner hail
from fourth year? That’s the energy of LYCEUM Med students!

EMCEE 2: Without further ado, we invite everyone to enjoy, sit back, and relax as we celebrate a night of glitz
and glamour! So to formally start our event, let us all stand for an invocation which shall be followed
immediately by the singing of our national anthem.

III. OPENING REMARKS AND WELCOME TOAST BY DR. MARCO FRANCISCO S. DUQUE

To formally open the program, may we call on the _______ (sino sya, ano sya sa med school), the very proficient
Dr. Marco Francisco S. Duque, for his opening remarks and welcome toast. Let’s give him a warm round of

IV. ADDRESS OF THE PRESIDENT BY DR. LUZ T. DUQUE-HAMMERSHAIMB

At this moment, let us hear the welcome address coming from the very competent and effective ________ of
our school, Dr. Luz T. Duque – Hammershaimb. Let’s give her a big hand!

V. PURPOSE OF THE EVENT BY DR. ELLEN A. MANZANO

 LNU Medicine Week is indeed a very special event for many of us. But to enlighten us with the purpose and
objective of our activities and events, let us have here in stage, Dr. Ellen A. Manzano. A round of applause for our
very own, Dr. Manzano!

VII. DANCE PRESENTATION OF FIRST YEARS

As we said a while ago, we are going to witness a dazzling night of music and dance! Let’s start with the
freshmen!

I know the first years are having some difficulties in med school especially because they are still in the stage of
adjusting and coping. But I’m pretty sure the freshmen is the group oozing with confidence, energy, and
freshness! So what are we waiting for? Let’s give it up for the freshmen as they showcase their dance
presentation!

VIII. DANCE PRESENTATION OF SECOND YEARS

WOW! What an awesome performance. Pero syempre hindi papatalo ang mga second year!

The second years are probably one of the busiest students this time because they are juggling their time for their
mind boggling academics and quality preparation for the events as the host for this Medicine Week 2019. So
now, let us witness the dance performance of the second years. Let’s them a round of applause!

IX. DINNER

Again, thank you second years for such an amazing performance! Our program is getting hotter and more intense
as we come closer to the more exciting portions of our event. But first, let’s take a break from this excitement.
Let us first enjoy our sumptuous dinner! Have a happy eating for wonderful evening!

X. AVP – SPORTS FEST AND QUIZ BEE

Sports fest was not just a battle of physical ability but a battle of who has best strategy, companionship, and
teamwork. Also, the quiz bee was a competition not just for the genius but for the studious. The experiences that
we had from these activities are worth remembering. So, let us rekindle our experiences during the sports fest
and quiz bee. Roll avp!

XI. PRODUCTION NUMBER OF MR AND MS MEDICINE 2019

EMCEE 1: We now go to the most awaited part of our night – the search for Mr. and Ms. Medicine 2019.
 Tonight we will witness the candidates from the different year levels showcase not only their incredible
physiques and unparalleled beauty but also their exceptional intelligence.

EMCEE 2: Yes. They are here to prove that med students, especially those from Lyceum Northwestern University,
are not only determined in becoming responsible and courageous doctors in the future but are also epitomes of
beauty and brains. And so, without further ado, it is our honor and privilege to introduce the 10 stunning ladies
and 10 remarkable men of the Mr. and Ms. Medicine 2019!

The candidates look absolutely captivating! We all have our own bets but only one man and one woman will be
crowned as Mr. and Ms. Medicine 2019. So to help us decide on who will win the most coveted title, we are
going to introduce the esteemed panel of judges.

Third year is the year when our ates and kuyas are feeling the pressure and thrill of clerkship. Despite their hectic
schedule, we really appreciate their effort of preparing a great performance for all of us tonight. So please put
your hands together and cheer for the third years!

XV. OPEN DANCE

The floor is now open for a dance. May we invite our sophisticated ladies and our dashing debonairs to flaunt
your elegance and enjoy some music for a dance. The floor is yours.

XVI. FORMAL WEAR COMPETITION OF MR. AND MS. MEDICINE 2019

We’re back for the Search of Mr. and Ms. Medicine 2019. Now we’re on to the first round of competition, the
formal wear competition. In this round, it is not just the gown or the tuxedo that is judged. It is candidate herself
or himself.

At this moment, we will witness our candidates take the stage with grace, elegance, and beyond beautiful charm.
We’ll begin with the ladies.

EMCEE 1: We’re back again for another portion for the search of Mr. and Ms. Medicine 2019. We’ll this portion is
the most difficult but one of the favourite parts of pageant lovers - the QUESTION AND ANSWER PORTION.

EMCEE 2: At this stage, we assess the strength of our candidate’s minds and their ability to think on their feet.
Beauty pageants are indeed redefined. It’s not just searching for the most beautiful man and woman but it also
about searching for that candidate who has the wit and confidence to inspire and educate everyone here
tonight.

EMCEE 1: (MENTION SOME SHORT RULES) (EXAMPLE) For our mechanics, the candidates will pick the question
from the fishbowl to be read by the hosts. The candidate will have 30 seconds to answer the question. We advise
our audience to refrain from making noises which may distract our candidates from properly delivering their
answers. Okay, so I think we are all now ready. We will start with the ladies(?) Gentlemen(?)

This night is indeed an amazing display of beauty, talent, and confidence. While the scores are being tabulated,
let us witness the captured elegance, smile, excitement, and all of those mixed emotions that the we had tonight
through this same day video edit. Let’s chillax and enjoy this video.

XXII. INDIAN DANCE PRESENTATION

Lyceum College of Medicine is truly multi-cultural. One of the biggest populations in our college belong to our
Indian friends. So as appreciation of our uniqueness and diversity, let’s give it up for this special dance
performance prepared by non-other than our Indian classmates. Let’s give them a round of applause!

host ang magbabasa.
 Memorize the names of the candidates para pag sinabi ang candidate number, isunod ang name para mas
personal and expert ang dating.
 Kapag dead air sa pageant, tanungin lang ang audience kung sino ang bet nila.
 Kapag matagal ang result, basahin lang ulit ang criteria for judging.
 Be lively but wag biased para hindi ma-bash.
