CONTRACT OF CONSULTANCY

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:

This Contract of Consultancy is made and entered into by and between

The Local Government of Nasipit, Agusan del Norte with the

principal office at Nasipit Municipal Hall, Nasipit, Agusan Del Norte,
represented herein by Municipal Mayor, , now and hereinafter referred to as
the FIRST PARTY;

and

., of legal age, Filipino, single and with an address in Talisay, Nasipit,

Agusan del Norte, herein referred to as the SECOND PARTY;

WITNESSETH THAT:

WHEREAS, the FIRST PARTY, pursuant to powers granted it by law,

and in the exigency of the service to improve its ability to manage the
services and resources of the Montinola Information Center (MIC) for the
benefit of the Municipality of Nasipit, desires to enter into a Contract of
Consultancy with a person who has an expertise, knowledge and experiences
on Information, Education and Communication Management.

WHEREFORE, for and in consideration of the above premises, herein

parties hereby enter into a Contract of Consultancy subject to the following
terms and conditions:

1. That the Second Party hereby possesses the education, experience

and skills required to perform the job;

2. That the Second Party hereby attests that he is not related within
the fourth degree of consanguinity or affinity to the 1) Hiring
authority and/or 2) Representative of the First Party; that he has
not been previously dismissed from government service by reason
of an administrative offense;

3. That the second party will perform the work at a time and schedule
agreed upon both parties;

4. That as Information Education Communication Consultant, the

Second Party is expected to perform the following functions;

• Formulate communication strategies for the effective and

efficient operation of the Montinola Information Center;

• Handles in the concurrent capacity the position of Municipal

Tourism Officer and as such, develop initiatives that seek to
discover tourism potentials of the municipality and reinforce
popularization of existing tourism program and infrastructure;

• Coordinate with the Municipal Agriculture Office in developing

and promoting “emerging technologies’ and organic farming
methodologies; and seek to establish community-based Agri-
enterprise ventures;

• Establish linkages with Academe, Private Volunteer

Organizations, Non-Government Organizations and foreign
 donors who can provide support to the economic development
efforts of the Local Government of Nasipit;

5. That it is understood that the Contract for Consultancy services

does not create an employer-employee relationship between the
First Party and the Second Party, and that the later is not entitled
to benefits enjoyed by the regular personnel of the First Party

6. The term of this Contract shall take effect on __________________
