Greetings!

With an earnest desire to further expand my knowledge in and understanding of accounting and
taxation and to gain experience through the application of accounting and tax laws, concepts, and
principles in actual practice I am writing this to apply as a staff of your firm.

As an accountancy student, I graduated at Saint Louis University on May 2017. I then took my CPA
licensure exam on May 2018 and passed in the same month.

Previously, I became an intern of the Bureau of Internal Revenue, La Trinidad district in its Tax
Service Section. As an intern, I catered to taxpayers’ inquiries based on learned tax laws, rules, and
concepts. I inspected documents and requirements submitted by the taxpayers and also prepared
certifications and other documents to be issued to them. I also gained insights and knowledge on the
use of the BIR’s integrated tax system (ITS) to better serve their needs. Throughout the five months
of my internship, I expanded my knowledge and understanding of the theoretical aspect of
accounting and taxation through observation and application while being exposed to the provision of
tax service at the same time.

I have also served as the Managing Editor of White and Blue, the official publication of Saint Louis
University. I was the one in charge of the overall financial matters of the organization which include
the preparation of its budgets and monthly financial reports. In my tenure as the managing editor, I
applied accounting concepts and principles in the performance of my responsibilities thus being able
to acquire additional experience and understanding regarding the field of accounting.

Accounting and taxation have considerable impact on the life of every Filipino, operations of every
entity, and economy of the county. To raise the level of my knowledge and skill and to widen the
scope of my understanding on the field of accounting and taxation while gaining experience through
practical applications are some of the goals and benefits that I can readily achieve by joining your
firm.
