Case Report: Melanoma Maligna Regio Sinus Maxillaris

Background : Malignant melanoma is a malignant neoplasm that derived from melanocyte

cells. Malignant melanoma is causes 75 percents of all skin cancers deadth. The risk of

malignant melanoma is increased in people who have multiple moles or have a family history

of the case.

Objective : A man came to RSUP Dr. Kariadi with a chief complain a cheek lump. The history

of illness was began approximately 1 year ago as big as quail eggs, lumps do not hurt just feel

uncomfortable. Patients began to get alternative treatment, the progressive enlarge of the lump

until to the lower of the jaw in the last of 4 months ago. In the physical examination, lump

enlarged visible on all cheeks until left lower left jaw, skin color is same and not got injured.

On the phisycal examination, found that inhomogen solid mass with irregular form with the

limit was not firm from mandibular region until sinus maxilla sinistra region.

Discussion : In this case performed the operation of the maxillectomy sinistra, extended

mandibulektomi sinistra and the left FND

Conclusion : Melanoma Maligna sinus maxilla is a very rare skin cancer disease, need

preparation and penatalaksaan action immediately after surgery.
