2B. (1) GROUND BONDING TEST

(a) Connect the LAL to the

bonding test set up shown in
Figure 3 of CMM 33-35-02.

(b) Set the DC Power Supply to 1A

give a constant 1 A.

(c) Use the DMM to measure the

voltage drop between connector
pin C and the bonding
bracket.

(d) Make sure the voltage drop is Not more than

not more than 20 mV (20 mΩ). 20 mV (20 mΩ)

(2) INSULATION RESISTANCE TEST :

(a) Set the insulation tester to 50 V DC

50 VDC.

(b) Connect the Insulation tester

between J1 pins A and C.

(c) Make sure the resistance Must not be less than

value must not be less than 125 125 MΩ
MΩ.

(d) Connect the Insulation tester

between J1 pins B and C.

(e) Make sure the resistance Must not be less than

value must not be less than 125 125 MΩ
MΩ.

(f) Remove the insulation tester.

(3) FUNCTIONAL TEST :
(a) Connect the LAL to the test
set-up as shown in Figure 4.

(b) Adjust the power supply to 28.0 VDC ± 0.1 V DC

28.0 VDC ± 0.1 VDC.

(c) The LEDs come on with the

same light intensity.

(d) Make sure the current value

shown on the DMM:

– not more than 609 mA. (upto 551mA < I< 609 mA
amendment A) (upto Amdt. A)
– not less than 551 mA. (upto
amendment A)
– not more than 430 mA. (from
amendment B) 375 mA < I< 430 mA
– not less than 375 mA. (from (from Amdt. B)
amendment B)
NOTE: Make sure the time between the supply of + 28 VDC and the current value check is less than one
minute.
NOTE: If it is necessary you can test the unit again after 15 minutes.
(e) Set the power supply to off.

(f) Remove the LAL from the test

set-up.
