A Message from Meg September 24, 2010

This week has been an inspiring one for me, as I’ve appeared
around the state with gifted leaders and amazing talent. I
started off Tuesday in Burlingame, where Condoleezza Rice
shared her passion for turning California around. We share the
same values and guiding principles to restore our state. To cap
the night off, composer David Foster brought along terrific
talent to perform some of his best-known songs.

In Los Angeles, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie joined me. He
didn’t belt out a song but he sure knows how to stir a crowd.
What a model his governorship is. He beat an incumbent
governor less than a year ago and isn’t wasting a minute taking
on the status quo and entrenched interests. He’s working with
the Democrats to implement his reform agenda. He and I share
similar visions about putting taxpayers’ interests first and taking
back our state.

I think if Gov. Christie can do it in New Jersey, there's no

reason why we can't do it in California.

I’ll be in Fresno and San Diego today, where I'll be joined by

another energizing Governor, Bobby Jindal, the Governor of
Louisiana. He’s shown determined leadership during crisis. He
didn’t wait when the federal government hemmed and hawed
about protecting the coastline after the oil rig disaster. He
moved right ahead. Voters around the country want can-do
leadership and I'm excited to have him campaigning for me
here in California. To receive your copy in the mail,

I’m so grateful for the energy and enthusiasm I am

Nov. 2, will you join me to build A New California? Please
spread the word about our plan to create jobs, restore fiscal
sanity to government and make our schools better.

You’ll get a chance to hear my plans and contrast my message
with that of my opponent when we hold our first debate of the
general election on Tuesday on the campus of the University of
California, Davis. It will be a great opportunity to talk about the
issues facing California. I encourage you to tune in.

I need your help so we all win in November. Can I count on you

to call five friends and tell them why I have the best plan for
California?
