Pipe Laying

Notes : -
All sewer with diameter less than 450mm shall be
vitrified clay pipe (VCP) with flexible joint and comply
with M.S 881 Part 1 1991, M.S. 1061;1986.
Foundation base of sewer must be compacted with
crushed run.

All sewer with diameter 450mm and above shall be

centrifugal spun reinforced concrete pipe (RCP) of
class Z. All RCP shall be internally line with 12mm
thick high alumina cement mortar. All pipe joints with
flexible rubble rings joints.

4.5 Supply and lay sewer pipes complete including

jointing, concrete/granular bedding, haunching all as
specified

4.7 Excavate, supply and construct precast concrete

manholes complete including lean concrete, Grade
20 cast in-situ concrete ring base, building in pipes,
benching, precast r.c. chamber, Grade 20 mass
concrete surround, formwork, stainless steel steps,
precast r.c. cover slab complete as detailed and
shoring and/or sheet pile where necessary
during construction.
