This model is knit in the round starting at the ankle, followed by back and
forth knitting for the top of the foot then finally resuming in the round for the
sole by picking-up stitches from the top. This slipper is a fitted model: the size is
smaller than the foot so that it can hug it, a bit like a sock.
Notions
Griffon Yarn– Les Laines Biscotte (the exact
amount per size is specified in each version,
either child or adult).
5.5mm circular needles (or size to obtain
gauge. Please note: if you do not follow
gauge, it is possible that you may need more
(or less) yarn than suggested.)

Gauge : 18 stitches and 22 rows = 10 cm

CHILD VERSION
Approximate sizes : 6-12 months [1-2 years, 3-4 years, 5-8 years].
Length of slipper, non-stretched : 10 [13, 14, 15] cm.
Top of foot
The top of the foot is knitted back and forth on the first stitches of the round as
so:
K 8 [10, 10, 12], turn on wrong side.
Wrong side : sl 1st st purlwise, p 7 [9, 9, 11] sts.
Right side: sl 1st st purlwise, k 7 [9, 9, 11] sts.
Repeat these 2 rows for a length of 4 [6, 8, 9] cm (12 [16, 18, 20] rows) and
finish with a right side row.
Foot
Place a marker on right needle and pick up 6 [8, 9, 10] sts on left side of foot.
K 6 [7, 7, 6]. From this point, resume knitting in the round. This will be the
start of next round (place a marker if needed).
K 6 [7, 7, 6], pick up 6 [8, 9, 10] sts on 2nd side of the foot, place a marker
and k to end of round.
K 1 round.
K to 3 sts before marker, LSI, k1, LSI, k1, RSI, k1, RSI, slip marker, k8 [10, 10,
12], slip marker, LSI, k1, LSI, k1, RSI, k1, RSI, k to end of round.
K one round while removing markers (except the one identifying the beginning
of the round if you used one).
You now have 40 [48, 50, 52] sts: 20 [24, 25, 26] sts for the 1st half of the
work (right side sole) and the same number of sts for the 2nd half of the work
(left side sole).

Minimum amount of Griffon required: 22 [30, 34, 40] grammes. Sole

Round 1 : P all sts
Ankle Round 2 : *k1, ssk, k until 3 sts of the first half are left, k2tog, k1*. Repeat * to
* on 2nd half of work.
Cast-on 20 [24, 24, 24] stitches, join to knit in the round and purl one round.
Repeat these 2 rounds 3 [4, 5, 5] more times (for a total of 4 [5, 6, 6] times). P
1 last row then graft both sides together.
