The Review of Administration & Amenity Building – Upper Structure Refers to SNI 1726-2012

Location of Building : Jepara, Central Java

Coordinates : 6.5333° S, 110.6667° E

From Spectra Response Graph :

SDS (spectral response acceleration parameter at short periods)

SDS = 0.849

SD1 (spectral response acceleration parameter at 1sec period)

SDS = 0.649

I (Importance factor, category IV) = 1.5

From calculation report :

C (Seismic Response Factor) = 0.5

V (Seismic Base Shear) :

𝐶×𝐼
𝑉= × 𝑊𝑡
𝑅

= × 𝑊𝑡
8.5

= 𝟎. 𝟎𝟖𝟐 𝑾𝒕

Conclusion :

From above condition, there are different value of seismic coefficient. In SNI 1726-2002, the value is
0.082, but in SNI 1726-2012, the value is 0.155 or the different value is 92.07 %.

However, the used of SNI 1726-2012 apply for building designed in 2012 onwards (not retroactive). For
buildings designed before 2012 still uses / refers to the current standard (SNI 1726-2002).
