What is KVA?

Kilo volt-ampere (kVA) is the unit used for the apparent power in an
AC electrical circuit. It is the product of root-mean-square (RMS) voltage and RMS
current. It is given by S = P + jQ Where S is the apparent power in kVA P is the
real power in kW and Q is the reactive power in kVAr
