Q1.Conventional software project management and Modern?

Conventional project management methodologies work well for projects where the
goals are certain and the variables involved are fixed. If the project involves
uncertainties and moving variables then modern software project management is a
better choice.
Modern software management is used for larger projects where the number of
variables are not fixed and the time requirement is very critical. It also requires a
very skilled person to manage the project. Conventional projects are suitable for
low budget projects with a fixed number of variables and a time frame of less than
a year.

Q2.List some key characteristics of project?

time, budget, desired outcome (unique product),temporary, progressive, limited
resources.

Q4.how can we calculate project cost?

By Cost Estimation That is developing an approximation of the costs of the
resources that is needed to complete project activities.
Q5.Name Some tools that can be use to communicate with the client to elicit and
validate requirement for software project?
UML diagrams (use case sequence functional decomposition, context
diagram)
Mind maps
User stories
Brain storming
Q6.Describe the phases included in scope project management?
Scope Planning: creating a project scope management plan that documents how the
project scope will be defined, verified , controlled and how wbs will be created
and defined
Scope Definition : developing a detailed project scope statement as the basis for
future project decision.
Create WBS: subdividing the major project deliverables and project work into
smaller more manageable components
Scope verification: formalizing the acceptance of the completed project
deliverables
Scope control: controlling changes to the project scope
Q7.What is quality planning?
Ans: Quality planning: identifying which quality standards are relevant to the
project and how to satisfy them

Q8.what are different types of stakeholders?

Project manager ,project team sponsors, developers, customer, functional
management.

A TEST PLAN is a document describing software testing scope and activities. It
is the basis for formally testing any software/product in a project.
