PGPM + MBA (Bangalore University)

Course Name: QUANTITATIVE TECHNIQUES FOR MANAGERS

Professor: V. R Rajendra Kumar

Contact Email: rajendra@nsbindia.org

Teaching Methods: Lectures, videos, articles and class room discussions.

Participants should read and study all assigned readingmaterial before class.

Assessment: Attendance: 10%

First Test: 30%
Projects/ Assignments: 30%

AssessmentRationale: Assessment is used as a tool to promote effective learning. The

tasks within the module assessment strategy are designed to test
intellectual processes and performance of understanding. The
focus on the practical application of knowledge is directly
linked to the assessment components.

MODULE AIMS

The principal aim of this course is to develop a mindset and enhance knowledge of the
students in the arena of Statistics and to develop statistical literacy skills in students in order
to comprehend and practice statistical ideas at many different levels.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of the Module, participants should be able to:

 To familiarize the student with basic concepts of statistics and their application in real
world scenarios
 At the end of this course, students will achieve statistical literacy and will be able
to find ways to move beyond the-what of statistics to the how and why of
statistics
