Mechanical Engineering (Thermal Engineering)

Introduction, Scope and Objectives of programme

This programme is designed to provide a sound and in-depth knowledge and training in various
aspects of design, manufacture, testing, control and evaluation of Thermal Equipments and
Systems. Thermal Engineering has an increasingly dominant role to play in the vital areas of
Power Generation, Automobiles, R&AC and Energy sector. The course content aims at
developing the necessary analytical and technical competence among engineers in these areas.
This programme is tailor made to prepare post graduates in mechanical engineering, to take up
research and development activities in the said areas.

The curriculum has been designed in consultation with experts from academic institutions of
repute, research organizations and industries keeping in pace with current technological
developments and industry needs. The programme will be conducted by qualified and motivated
teachers, invited experts from reputed institutions, research organizations and industries.
