ACADEMIC PROJECT UNDERTAKEN

• Graduation Project: is an individual theme based project involving all the
knowledge gained in the course to make final collection. The theme I am working
on is Indian Crafts using Printing and Surface Ornamentation as my
techniques.
• Research on the topic “Hand Printing Techniques are sustainable than
Machine Printing Techniques.”
• DEFRA Project: The project was to create awareness and promote sustainable
textiles and techniques which could create environmental improvements.
• Fabric Folio Projects: Fabric Folio, Pearl Academy of Fashion in the year 2008
and 2009 for exhibition in Tex – Styles India. These incorporate thematic
approach, forecasting consideration, market research, design developments and
therefore, swatches development. Designed swatches under the theme POP ART
using knitting and surface ornamentation as my techniques.
• Jharkhand Project: to improve and design textiles for Jharkhand Tribes to
achieve consumer acceptance.
• Craft Documentation on Banarasi Sarees, Varanasi, U.P.

PROFESSIONAL PROJECT UNDERTAKEN

• Have successfully completed my summer internship at Eastern Silk Industries, New
Delhi 1st August -5th October. Where I designed a bed linen collection for spring
summer on the theme ILLUSIONIST, for Eastern Silk Industries, New Delhi. I also
designed two sets of quilt and two shams, for domestic market.
