Executive Summary

The matter of improper waste disposal of Barangay Cabcabon

has been the resident’s mostly complaining about. Improper
throwing of solid waste is seriously spoiling the environmental
health of the said barangay. This is due to a lack of social
awareness or the community involvement, and the improper resources
including improper equipment and lack of funds that causes to the
absence of proper garbage dumps in Barangay Cabcabon. Thus the
solid waste management scenario of this barangay is becoming worse
day by day. Most people dispose their waste by throwing them
anywhere, burning them, dumping them on a vacant lot without
knowing that these practices are very dangerous not just to the
environment but to the residents as well.
This study aims to find a better solution to lessen the
problem of improper waste disposal in Barangay Cabcabon. This study
also endeavour’s to examine and discuss the impacts of these
improvements to the waste disposal and to recommend and discuss
the applicable solutions to the absence of garbage dumps in the
said barangay.
