Position Summary:
Senior Manager - Product Engineeringis responsible for developing cutting edge, world class Mortgage Software
Products as per the product roadmaps, client expectations and company direction. Responsibilities include roadmap
execution, direction, planning, management, coordination, review and measurement of all aspects of Software
Design, Architecture, Development, Enhancement and Maintenance, Software Packaging, and Documentation, with
accountability to deliver products and projects as per specifications and at the highest level of quality, on time and on
budget. The position is the Engineering delivery lead for one of our primary Loan Servicing product(s) LSAMS.

Roles and Responsibilities

 Creates and executes development plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
of the clients/strategy of the product
 Keeps stakeholders well informed of status of development effort and serves as liaison between technology
engineering, product management, executive management and sales
 Owns the development lifecycle and is responsible for managing technical risks throughout the project
 Communicates and enforces coding standards
 Performs code reviews and mentors junior developers
 Ensures technical teams are contributing to our code library
 Manages technical resources within budget and project schedule
 Consistently delivers high-quality services to our clients

Technical Expertise

 12+ years of Product Engineering experience in building Enterprise class applications in the AS400 stack and
iSeries Technologies
 Strong programming skills in CL, COBOL, RPG II, RPG 400, RPG IV and RPG Free format
 Deep knowledge in AS400 system information like OS400, LPAR, Backup and Restore
 Strong understanding of Database concepts and SQL
 Good knowledge in DB2/400
 Good knowledge in DBU, HAWKEYE, TURNOVER preferred
 Knowledgeable in Engineering standards including unit testing frameworks
 Possesses significant knowledge of client/server and internet systems architectures
 Understands complex database concepts and effectively employs different database design techniques
 Possesses demonstrated work experience with more than one relational database management system
 Understands OO concepts and consistently applies them in client engagements

Preferred Experience

 Minimum of 5+ years of progressive software development experience as a senior developer, ideally developing
and implementing enterprise applications based on AS400 technologies
 Experience in a Product based software company especially related to FinTech
 Experience in and deep knowledge of SaaS Platforms
 At least 8+ years’ experience in managing large teams
 Experienced in Agile/Scrum methodology& Strong delivery capability in an agile development environment.
 Experience in modern design patterns
 Proven track record of delivering complex enterprise class products on time and with superior quality, especially
in the BFSI segment
 Team player with a focus on the big picture and overall success of clients, internal team and company
 Understands browser / client specific compatibility issues

Day to Day activities


 Leads product design, development and release process for all new and existing assigned products
 Work cross-functionally with internal departments to ensure seamless delivery of products and features within
the lifecycle of existing products
 Coordinates the collection, description, analysis and prioritization of requests for new and existingproduct
functionality
 Coordinates testing of new products and features;
 Documents, reports problems and recommend solutions/improvements to program managers;
 Monitors and evaluates competitive products of and maintains technical analysis of competitor strengths and
weaknesses;
 Participates in product performance and enhancement activities
 Manages staffing, scheduling, and performance to equip uninhibited work flow

 Provides technical direction for the development, design, and systems integration for product management from
definition phase through implementation
 Applies significant knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve service to our clients
 Easily recognizes system deficiencies and implements effective solutions.

Communication
 Facilitates team and stakeholder meetings effectively
 Holds regular status meetings / scrums with development team
 Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations to large teams including executives and board
members
 Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion
 Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
 Astute cross cultural awareness and experience in working with international teams (especially US)

 Should have led teams with 25 + members
