Group II

The 2nd group tackles about the budgeting process that occur in the local and
national government. The group was good as I expected. When it comes to
presentation of their report it was well-organize. I love how they discussed the
process very firmly. Also they presented such data of how the national and local
government submits its annual budget or the General Appropriations Act and
how the legislative execute the proposed budget presented by each department
and local government units and after the deliberation be subjected to the
President’s decision. The report was very informative on how fiscal year takes
place. Also presenting a graph of the department that has bigger allotment gives
us an awareness that these departments have this huge amount of budget
coming from the tax payers. The report got my attention since it talks about
budgeting and at that time, allocation of budget was a trend issue in the
government; after providing the office of the vice president an inadequate
budget.

The grade of the group would be 95/100for the efforts of each

members to fully deliver a good report.

Critique Paper
Group IV

Last 23rd of September 2017, the 4th group was the one assigned for a weekly discussion
for public fiscal administration. The discussion of the 4th group was about the Philippines
debt management and expenditures. On how the government spent their annual
budget, a list of receipt, documents, settlements, etc. and how the government manage
payment on its debt. The report was good and informative. They have a proper
execution of reports, properly disseminated on each member. Thou, not everything was
well-discussed, it’s still has a great output. They also inserted some role playing to
lessen the boredom of the members of the class.

If I’ll be giving them a grade, it would be 90/100 because I think they’ve met the
standard of proper reporting process, but still needs some improvement. I love their
efforts because at the end of day every effort must be appreciated.

Group V
The topic given in the group was the government Accounting and Auditing, it was not
explained well maybe because it was brief due to limited time given to the group but
anyways, it requires need more explanation or discussion especially on how the govt.
audit its spending for transparency. I’ll give them a grade of 87/100 for the efforts and
stuffs.
