CONTRASTO
Nota:

1.6.1 TEMPI
I tempi dipendenti dai programmi automatici, a
FEED TIME
funzioni:
CYCLE PAUSE AT THE END OF FEED TIME = YES
FEED PAUSE, BELT START, FEED END.
Continuous:
inverso).

HL50 RUN

Note: these 2 commands are repeated also on the buttons SB5.0 / SB6.0 / SB7.0.
The system used on the " VIBROTUBI” station is based on a "PLC" (Programmable Logic
Controller) that manages the starting up of machine functions, duration of work stages and their
chronological order in an automatic production cycle.
Performance of the cycle depends upon the settings of the implementation times of machine
functions and the choice of which machine functions to be started up.
These variables can be associated with a work program number. Therefore, once a program
has been compiled this may be called up again in the future to obtain the same component
without the operator requiring to take further action. In addition, there are also values,
corresponding to the constant timers for some functions, which are programmed during testing
and which once set, normally remain constant for all the various products that can be
manufactured with the machine.
The input or modification of all these values (besides other utilities such as fault visualisation
and print, production programmes backup, etc) is performed by means of a user interface
which, we call operating panel herein after.
Technically, settings can be adjusted at any time (even during the automatic cycle) but bear in
mind that the value of a timer is not adjusted if it is already activated (any variation in the timer
setting becomes effective the next time it is activated). Therefore it is always advisable to
adjust program settings with the selector for the type of machine operation positioned to
0.
N.B.: any adjustments made to a program are automatically saved in the following cases: any
movement of the selector for type of machine operation (AUTO-0-MAN), automatic cycle start-
up, end of automatic cycle. Therefore, if after making the adjustment, the program is changed
without moving the selector or carrying out an automatic cycle, these adjustments are not saved
in the area of the PLC memory allocated to them.
The station “VIBROTUBI” is composed of a belt suitable for the carrying out of the concrete
feeding into a mould, provided with a vibrating column. The outer moulds mounted can be
different types, therefore the system has been suitably developed in order to operate with
different production programs (recipes).
The production programs that can be memorized are 29 and therefore they can be recalled on
the basis of the type of mould mounted.
We suggest, before starting the production of a new product, to select on the operator panel a
new program number, to introduce the related description and to proceed to the drawing up of
the new data (timers-functions), in this way, these data will be available also for future
productions of that type of product.
AUTOMATIC CYCLE:
Considering that you have already entered the data suitable for the correct implementation of an
automatic production cycle, it can be performed as follows:
Switch the AUTOMATIC-0-MANUAL selector of the requested installation in position
AUTOMATIC
If the cycle is available, press the CYCLE START push-button
If it is not, verify:
that the machine is not in such a strange position as not to enable the cycle start
that there are no red lamps switched on or fault messages on the operator’s panel
Once the cycle has been started, it is performed as follows:
Breathers closing
Belt rotation toward the working station to be fed and positioning of the rotating hopper
up or down according to the program setting
Belt conveyer rotation start, hopper rotation start
Vibration start
End of filling (by means of special push-button or timer)
The rotating hopper moves in base position
Return of the belt in pause position
Feed of the press toward the mould
Pressing head descent (manual command)
Possible automatic rotation of the pressing head if selected
Change of vibration speed (machines with inverter)
Stop of the vibration
Pressing head ascent (manual command)
Return of the press in pause position (manual command)
Help demoulding ascent (manual command)
End of cycle
Warnings:
Never use hard, sharp or abrasive objects on the display
Do not touch the display with dirty hands
The display has been especially studied to used with fingers, alternatively use a soft pointed,
rounded and non-abrasive object
Do not clean the display with aggressive substances (diluents etc.)
When a changeable numeric data is touched, on the screen it appears automatically a special
keyboard:
Instructions:
Introduce the data using the numerical keys (values are indicated in a window above the keyboard)
Confirm using ENT or annul with ESC
The key CLR sets at zero the value.
The key DEL deletes 1 number.
For space reasons this keyboard is divided into 2 parts, one alphabetic and the other numeric,
to pass from the one to the other press the key up in the right.
Instructions:
(Open the alphabetic keyboard with the key A..Z )
Type in the text with the alphabetic keys
Open the numeric keyboard with the key 0..9
Type in the numbers with the numeric keys
Confirm with ENT or cancel with con ESC
The key CLR sets at zero the value.
The key DEL deletes the character on the cursor
The key deletes the character placed at the left of the cursor
The key SPC writes a space
Keys to be pressed to slide the list in case there are a lot of alarms.
the upper right corner of each page the symbol which could be
afterwards touched in order to make the alarms window appear again
If a wrong operation is performed (generally a manual operation that cannot be performed), the
appropriate red pilot lamp flashes quickly and a message appears, indicating the reason for
which this command cannot be performed at that moment. When the wrong operation ceases
the main page is returned to automatically.

1.4.4.2 CONTRAST
ADJUSTMENT
Note:
the machine can function normally whatever the page visualised on the panel. Therefore, it is possible to
leaf through the various menus even during the automatic production cycle. Technically it is also possible to
modify data during the automatic cycle but it must be remembered that a timer cannot modify its value if it is
already counting (the eventual variation of the timing value is made effective at the successive activation of
the timer). It is always recommended to carry out modifications to the programme data with the machine
functioning type selector switch on position 0 (MACHINE AT A STANDSTILL) Moreover, it must be
remembered that, a possible modification, carried out during the cycle of the machine functions, will be
made effective, for safety, only at the end of the cycle itself.
This menu is divided into 2 pages which can be displayed by touching the related tongue in
the lower part of the screen.
The first page is dedicated to the program selection, in the second there are the keys to
access to all the data related to the drawing up of the automatic cycles of production.
Note: the modified description will appear in the list in the centre of the page only after having removed
the selector AUTO-0-MANUAL (all the modifications to the data of a program are confirmed after the
movement of this selector)
For detailed instructions about the data see chap. 1.6 ENTERING VALUES IN THE MACHINE

VIBRATION STOP
Insert a time enough to allow the complete stop of the vibrator.
Before varying the production program settings also read chapter: 1.2.1 OPERATING
PRINCIPLE.
For instructions concerning how to access to these pages see the chap. 1.4 STRUCTURE OF
THE MENUS.
1.6.1 TIMES
Timers depending on automatic programmes,
unlike fixed times, are relative to cycle movements
or phases (such as, for example, the feed or
vibration phase) whose length is variable as a
result of the type of produciotn to perform.
Obviously, these times shall be calculated so as
to allow the best cycle implementation.
Therefore, the programmer experience and tests
to be carried out during new production cycles
will be essential.
For instructions on how to access to these pages see chap. 1.4 STRUCTURE OF THE MENUS.
To modify a value it is enough to touch it, it will be displayed a proper keyboard for the typing of the requested value.
FEED TIME
Enter the expected manufactured product feed time. When the configured time is expired, the
machine will stop the feed belt.
Note:
active timer only if function “FEED CONTROL MODE = TIMER”
if function “CYCLE PAUSE AT THE END OF FEED TIME = NO”, when the set time is expired, the belt goes back
to central position automatically and the following pressing phase starts.
VIBRATION
Interrupted:
The vibration will stop if it has been activated even one of the two 2 following functions:
CYCLE PAUSE AT THE END OF FEED TIME = YES
In this case the vibration stops together with the belt when it expires the time set on
the timer FEED TIME and restarts when it is pressed one of the following buttons: FEED
PAUSE, BELT START, FEED END.
Continuous:
The vibration is still activated until the end of cycle.
