Importance of MBA

In India and abroad there are lot of MBA course and the students applying for them as well have
varied background. Some favours full two-year MBA course while those who have scarcity of
time because they are at executive level or have their own business opts for part time or
Executive MBA. On one side MBA education enhances the knowledge while on other broaden
the thinking capacity. Ultimately the objective to have an MBA degree is to find solutions to the
business issues and problems.

MBA course will give the students the ability and capacity to take the take the individual skill to

executives. At that time only few universities provided full time MBA degree. In 1961 came IIM
Calcutta and Ahemadad after collaboration with MIT, Harvard, and Sloan School of
management. In 990, eighty 82 universities were offering this prestigious MBA degree. Real
boom came for MBA in the era of liberalization as an effort of which presently 1800 MBA
colleges are operating in the country.

Adequate skills of facing the challenges in the corporate world are also provided by MBA
degree. It makes not only managers but in the real words creator. Freedom to think and face the
challenges is what MBA colleges provide to its students. It helps to find the capacity hidden
inside the student.

MBA is an important weapon for the development of the country. In India IIM holds the top
most position in the knowledge imparted. Alumni of IIM are the global CEO and many the top
colleges other them IIM are to a large extent run by the alumni of IIM`s

Some experts have an opinion that candidate himself are responsible for the value addition of an
MBA course. Every student gets the same input in the class, it depends on the understanding of
the students how they take these lessons. Some gets top marks while other struggles to pass.
Most important is the candidate`s` mental state and makes a large difference.

To get into MBA course one need to have entrances like CAT. MAT, XAT, GMAT and much
more depending on the learning ability of the aspiring students. Then is followed Group
discussion and Personal Interview. Both in terms of money and time MBA is an expensive
investment. Different colleges have different fees structure which also shows upward climb
every year.
