SPG ELECTION NARRATIVE REPORT

The organization of a Student Government (SG) aims to establish a representative

body that fosters leadership and promote learners welfare and excellence for all.

In view of this here are the following activities observed during the 2019 SPG
Election:

February 4, 2019 was the filling of Certificates of Candidacy. The candidates filed
their Certificates according to their respective parties. There were two parties, the “LODI Party”
stands for Leaders of Our dearest Institution and “CLEVERS Party” satnd for Campus Leaders of
Enhance Values and Empower Reform Through Service. Both parties work hard to earn favor
from their co-pupils. Tarpaulin and T-shirts printing were used during the campaign.

On the next two days February 6 and February 7 in the morning was the
Evaluation of Certificate of Candidacy (COC) vis-a vis Qualifications and Disqualifications.
Certificates of Candicacy were evaluated.

The offcial list of Candidates for SPG Election 2019 was publicly announced by Mrs.
Johnna Mae E. Lacbayo- SPG Adviser. The candidates in each party were called and they were
introduced to the pupils with brief information.

The campaign period was then started on February 12 until February 13 in the
morning. The candidates were given only limited time to have their campaign. Each party
independently planned their campaign strategies and went room-to-room campaign to
introduced theirselves and persuade pupil’s support and vote them. Right after the campaign
period was the “Meeting de Avance” each party showed their showcase talents and
re-introduced theirselves publicly.

Right after the day of the “Meeting de Avance” the synchronize election took place
last February 14, 2019. For a smooth election a line of one was made in order and COMELEC
Offcials assisted the pupils. The offcial ballots were given to the pupils by the COMELEC Officials.
The election took about an hour to finish.

After an hour the election ended, the counting of votes started by the election
committee which comprises the Chairman SPG Adviser and three members. Then the
proclaimation of winners followed.
 So far election was successfully conducted where pupils are given the chance to
participate and exercise their right of suffrage during the election.

February 18, 2019 at 2:00 in the afternoon was the Proclaimation of Winners and
Turning over the Key of responsibility to the newly elected SPG President 2019-2020.
