NEWS RELEASE, ADVERTISMENT AND POWER POINT “THE GREEN NEW DEAL”
ALEXIS KLEIN
CALIFORNIA, Feb. 7, 2019/PRNewswire/-- If the climate of the planet continues to rise 2 degrees
Celsius above preindustrialized levels, the United states risks financial damage of public
infrastructure and up to $1,000,000,000,000.
Representative Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez and Sen Ed Markey have introduced new legislation
that outlines a progressive plan to completely eradicate U.S. carbon emissions and boost the
economy.
The president of the Union of Concerned Scientists, Ken Kimmell, said of the New Green Deal,
“The resolution’s focus on a rapid, massive near-term investment in equitable climate solutions
is exactly what’s needed to accelerate the clean energy momentum already underway
nationwide.”*
Labor unions are just as pleased with the proposed legislation. Héctor J. Figueroa, the president
of the Service Employee’s International Union, the biggest property services union in the United
States said of the New Green Deal, “This is an opportunity to tackle economic inequality and re-
industrialize America with a green economy through jobs that, with the right training, can
provide career ladders for many low-wage workers who struggle to afford the high cost of
living.”**
The New Green Deal is a comprehensive plan to create jobs, boost the economy and totally
eliminate green house gasses. The New Green Deal cleans up the United States today while
setting ourselves up for a cleaner, more profitable tomorrow.

all of creation by
over the last century. Ice burgs are melting, wild fires are increasing,
engaging in massive
job creation.” and people will succumb to death by heat stress. However, there is
HOPE!!!
