Piping materials shall suit the duty requirements for type of

fluid, pressure, temperature, abrasion and corrosion conditions.

16 PAINTING

Unless otherwise noted, all surfaces to be painted shall be

thoroughly cleaned and free of all dirt, rust, grease, weld
spatter and loose mill scale, and shall be painted with
manufacturer's standard chemical resistant prime and finish
coats.

When specified in the equipment specification, all surfaces

shall be painted per 000-GC-S-012 painting specification, with
the specified system.

Machined surfaces not normally painted shall be coated with a

suitable anti-corrosion compound to protect surfaces during
ocean shipment and outside storage at jobsite. The compound
shall be such that it can be easily cleaned or removed with
solvent.

17 SHOP ASSEMBLY AND MARKING

Unless otherwise specified, equipment shall be shop

assembled, critical dimensions verified, and all motions
checked and tested prior to shipment. Shipping assemblies
shall suit means of transportation to the job site. All matching
parts of equipment, which must be disassembled for shipment,
shall be match-marked. Equipment markings shall include
equipment number. Markings shall be on weather-resistant
and corrosion-resistant tags, or stamped in an obvious location
directly on equipment or parts.

18 CLEARANCES AND LOAD RESTRICTIONS

The mine is accessible by road 12 month of the year. Transport

constraints and limitations based on Peruvian roads and
transport equipment available are defined in Appendix T,
Transport Constraints. All shipping and load dimensions must
be suitable for the bridge clearances to be encountered. For
oversize and overweight equipment shipments, Aker Solutions
will provide the necessary road and bridge restrictions and
limits to the vendor or contractor.
