LOCATION NOTE
Starting above the knee joint, run a finger down the lateral
aspect of the thigh in the groove between the femur and
the tendon of biceps femoris, until the finger falls into the
depression just proximal to the lateral epicondyle of the
femur.

NEEDLING
Perpendicular insertion 1 to 2 cun. Note: according to several
classical texts, this point is contraindicated to moxibustion.

ACTIONS
Relaxes the sinews and benefits the joints
Dispels wind-damp

INDICATIONS
• Redness, swelling and pain of the lateral aspect of the
knee joint, inability to flex and extend the knee, wind
painful obstruction with numbness, painful obstruc-
tion and numbness of the lower leg, leg qi.
