A system is an arrangement of organs closely allied to one other.


________________________ contains bones of the body and connective tissues
which bind them together. Main functions: support, protection (it protects the organs
inside), and motion.
________________________ consists of muscles. Movement is made possible by the
contraction of muscles. We distinguish between voluntary and involuntary muscles.
Most of voluntary muscles are found in the trunk, in the head, in upper and lower
limbs. They are capable of Rapid and complicated movement. Involuntary muscles
only provide slow and mechanical movement in the walls of organs. They are
controlled by the nervous system.
_________________________ consists of brain, spinal chord, ganglia, nerve fibres
and their sensory and motor terminals. Main functions: to correlate and coordinate
nerve impulses in motor centres, and to acquaint the organism with the environment.
The nervous system contains centres for sensation, emotion and many other functions.
