1. Do you consider yourself successful?

Yes. In all the positions I have herd, I always set goals and the goals are usually met.
For example one of my primary goals wherever I go is:
To successfully complete all assigned tasks on or before schedule and in all cases
where it depended only on me, the goal was achieved.

I find the vision of the company to be “a catalyst for a sustainable society” very
captivating and the values of “of integrity as our standard of conduct” rhyme with me
and I desire to share in vision and values.

I believe in hard work and getting things done and done in a timely manner.

I bring a unique blend of skills and experiences. Mathematical skills will help me in the
financial aspects of the job. My past software development experiences coupled with

I set high standards for myself and meet them. My outcomes are a success. My boss

12. What have you learned from mistakes on the job?
I had finished a programming task that I was working on; did my unit tests and
everything was fine, but I forgot to close the editor. In the process of continuing with
other tasks a stray character was typed in to the buffer and inadvertently the file was
saved (because the editor settings were set to save when shutting down). I now make
sure to close the editor after a successful compile before testing.

Integrity and holder of high standards; knowledgeable, a sense of
humor, and loyal to subordinates.

My name is Boniface Madza, a mathematician and senior information technology professional with
over 9 years of IT/Software development experience. My background includes a masters degree in
maths and masters level graduate diploma in computer science. I am a problem solver with high

Recently, on the Master Installer MR, I provided an innovative approach to build installers that
helped reduce development time by about 5o%

In past I obtained promotion and performance award at Royal Bank as a result of efficient and
timely delivery of a software solution.

6. I see you are no longer with GD. Why not? Recently, at GD I was one of about 25 people
laid off last July as a result of cost cutting business decision

7. Tell me about a difficult situation and how you1ve handled it? Talk about Mike’s case
in Toronto

8. What did you particularly enjoy about your last job? Dislikes? Working with specialized
military equipment in challenging assignments; where as the dynamic teams provided breath of
knowledge, they did offer much depth.

9. Describe a time when you were required to exert extra effort to accomplish a
task. How did you handle this? What were the outcomes? When the release cycle time was
cut back at GD, during Master Installer builds. At a previous position, a colleague (team lead) was away
on vacation, I had work extra time and extra hard to cover his tasks as well as my tasks. This was done
very successfully.

Recently, on the Master Installer MR, I provided an innovative approach to build installers that helped
