main scale choices will be the full major scale (C D E F G A B) and the major pentatonic (C D
E G A). With this style of music, it’s very important to work on strong melodies, so try to build
phrases around the notes of each chord. Note how Claudio works around chord shapes in
measures 7-9. Pay attention to the accents and changes of rhythmic figures.
