deals with needle-punched nonwoven geotextiles prepared from nettle and
poly(lactic acid) fibers in different weight proportions for potential slope
stabilization application using bioengineering approach. The geotextiles
were tested for tensile strength, biodegradability, and enhancement of soil
fertility.

Aspects of continuous feed fabric cutting are described. In one example, a

system includes a textile cutter having a cutting table and a laser cutting
assembly. The laser cutting assembly includes a set of laser cut modules
arranged in a row to provide a combined laser cutting span across at least
a portion of the cutting table.

Twisted reinforced thread contains an unarmoured component in the form of polyether twisted yarn and
reinforced polyether core yarn, core of the reinforced yarn is formed by two complex yarns with different linear
density each. The ratio of linear densities of the yarns is 1:0.5-0.7.

supplying liquid to the working surface by means of a pipeline, a collector and distribution needles; a system of
continuous control of power consumed by the heater; primary temperature transducers connected to

Aspects of fluorescent ink printing, cutting, and apparel assembly are

described. In one example, a system includes a textile printer, a textile
cutter, and a computing device that arranges panels and develops print
features related to textile products. The computing device can assign
certain print features to be printed using fluorescent inks.

A textile barrier apparatus includes an inner layer comprising an aqueous

super absorbent polymer composition (SAP) and first and second outer
textile layers attached to opposite sides of the inner layer. A landfill version
includes an odor neutralizer, a biocide and/or a nutrient to support
vegetation.

Científicos de China desarrollan fibras similares al pelo de oso

polar

Scientists from Zhejiang University have developed a cloak that makes a

bunny almost invisible to infrared cameras, thanks to fibres that mimic the
structure of polar bear hairs. The hairs of a polar bear have a hollow core,
which reflects back IR emissions from the body. This structure helps
prevent heat loss and keeps the bears warm in Arctic environments.

Un nuevo tipo de circularidad textil

Circle Economy has officially launched the Fibersort Project, debuting technology which it claims is able to
automatically sort large volumes of mixed post-consumer textiles based on fibre composition. Along with
project partners – Valvan Baling Systems, Reshare, Procotex, Worn Again, and Smart Fibersorting – the
organisation will soon undertake testing on the sorted materials and the results will be shared in future
Fibersort reports.

Tratamiento especial de fibras y tecnología de hilados

Natural fibers have a number of benefits: they are biodegradable,

renewable and robust. They are more energy-efficient to develop than
carbon fibers or glass, are lighter and also have improved acoustics. Their
disadvantage refers to the fact that they absorb water very easily. This
indeed weakens their mechanical properties.

Equipo del MIT desarrolla proceso para producir fibras
ultrafinas

Scientists at MIT have developed a process that produces ultrafine fibres,

with diameter in nanometres, or billionths of a metre. These fibres are
exceptionally strong, tough, low in density and are expected to be
inexpensive and easy to produce. The team says these fibres may be used
for many applications, such as protective armour and nanocomposites.
