Time a. Pre listening:


0700-0800 1. Teacher shows a pencil and a hand phone.
2. Teacher asks pupils to choose one item that they really need as a student.
3. Teacher tells the pupils that a pencil is one of the example of needs
(60 minutes) meanwhile a hand phone is wants.
4. Teacher explains the differences between needs and wants.

b. While listening:
1. Teacher reads a dialogue. (TB page 13)
2. Pupils listen carefully.
3. Teacher gets the pupils to give one example of needs and wants mentioned in
the dialogue.
4. Teacher shows power points slides.
5. Pupils name the things shown in the slides.
6. Teacher writes sentence structure on the board.

7. Teacher shows examples of how to use the sentence structure.
8. Pupils work in groups. Teacher distributes task sheet.
9. Pupils imagine that their family is going on a two-days camping trip to Hutan
Lipur Teladas. They have RM100 to spend. Pupils discuss with their friends
what they need to buy. Pupils give reasons.
10. Pupils present their work.
11. Teacher gives comments and feedbacks.

c. Post listening:
1. Teacher tells pupils that there are many ways to get money for their needs
and wants.
2. Teacher gives a few examples. (sell old newspapers)
3. Pupils discuss in groups.
4. Pupils take turns to present their ideas.
5. Teacher gives comments and feedbacks.
