Pre-lesson
1. Pretend to be a pilot, a farmer, and a photographer and ask students
to guess the occupations.
2. Then say the occupations and what each occupation does and get
students to repeat after teacher a few times.
3. Stick the flashcards on the board.
4. Point to each flashcards, say the word / phrase and get students to
repeat a few times after teacher and mime the corresponding action
/occupation at the same time.
5. Point out the occupations / actions in the vocabulary section. Play
the CD a few times and have students point and repeat. ( Track 30 )
6. Say the words again in random order and have students repeat and
ACTIVITIES point.

Lesson delivery ( refer to Teacher’s book – activity 1 Track 31 )


7. Direct student’s attention to the picture of Lucy and Sue and ask
them to guess what they are doing.
8. Have students follow along in their books as teacher play the CD.
9. Play the CD again and pause after each phrase for students to
repeat.
10. Direct students’ attention to the pictures of the different
occupations. Explain to students that they are going to conduct a
survey.
11. Divide students into group of five.
12. Direct students’ attention to the table in the activity and go through
it with them.
13. Make sure students understand that they will take turns to ask the
students in their group what they want to be when they grow up and fill
in their tables.
14. When all of the groups are finished, choose a member from each
group to share the survey with the rest of the class.
15. Draw a table like the one in the book on the board, to fill in with the
students’ results as they are presented. When all of the groups are
done presenting tally up the results and see which occupation is the
most and least popular.

2. Pretend you are brushing your teeth. While you’re miming, say I
always brush my teeth.
3. Do this with the phrases do my homework, have a shower, get
dressed, and comb my hair.

4. Mime brushing the teeth and say I always brush my teeth in the
morning. Write the sentences on the board.
5. Ask students to guess what always means and elicit that we use it to

6. Do the same for other two adverbs of frequency sometimes and
never, by miming two different activities. Elicit that we use sometimes
when referring to an action that doesn’t happen as often and never for

8. Direct student’s attention to the grammar box. Read the sentences
out loud and have students repeat.

1.Guru menyediakan dadu yang mengandungi perkataan
TAKHTA, KURNIAKAN (pilih mengikut kesesuaian guru)
2. Murid membaling dadu dan menyebut perkataan secara
berulang.
3. Guru memperdengarkan lagu audio 13 vokal Negaraku.
4. Murid dibimbing menyanyikan lagu sambil berdiri tegak.
5. Guru memainkan audio 14 instrumental Negaraku dan murid
5.Aktiviti PDP menyanyikan dengan sebutan yang jelas.
6. Pastikan murid berdiri tegak semasa menyanyikan lagu
Negaraku.
7. Galakkan murid menyanyikan lagu negeri dan lagu sekolah
dengan sebutan yang betul dan nyata
8. Pastikan murid menyebut perkataan berulang-ulang kali
dengan betul dan jelas.
