Topic: African American Learning Styles

Audience: Pre-teachers in Diversity Class

Objectives: To address the Essay Question: “African Americans possess certain learning styles
which enable them to learn more efficiently. Discuss these particular learning styles.”
To teach pre-teachers about African American learning styles that may be encountered and how
best to meet the educational needs of their future African American students.

Materials/Equipment: Powerpoint presentation teaching about the learning styles of African


American students and what we can do as teachers to effectively teach those students, Kahoot
quiz to review what we learned, and a video of Kid President inspiring us to continue to teach
and learn!

Instruction:
• Begin by introducing myself and the topic I will be presenting (Chapt. 3, Quest. 2)
