Ethnic Bias (Sukhlal Ji and Balbir)-Here we see Sukhlal Ji mocking Nethra Reddy unknowingly calling her
‘Madrasi’ when she was actually from Andhra.

Gender Bias (Tripathi Ji) - Tripathi Ji was undermining the strength of the women’s team as they were
meant to work at home and underestimating the power of women.

Confirmation Bias (Abhi)-Abhi saw this Women’s world cup as worthless and wanted Preeti not to
postpone the marriage for this as he was sure that women’s team would lose.

Hindsight Bias (Kabir Khan)-We saw that Kabir knew all the way from the beginning that Bindiya Nayak
and Aliya Bose were making excuses for not coming to practice and Krishna Ji was saving them from
coach’s scolding.

Overconfidence Bias (Bindiya Nayak)-She felt superior among the team and felt that team is always at
disposal

Anchoring Bias (India vs. Australia) - Team was nervous regarding their first match against Australia but
later overcame the fear.

Team Building

• FORMING

A common goal brings people together.

Hockey stars from different Indian states meet at Delhi to form India’s women world cup team.

• NORMING

Informal Leaders emerge who influence others to follow a particular code of conduct which may conflict
with the code defined by the leader.

In the movie we see Bindiya Nayak influencing other team members to rebel against Kabir Khan.

• STORMING

Diversity, personal egos create conflicts

It shows struggles regarding the allocation of bunkers, playing position and non-acceptance of the
leader.

• PERFORMING

When the goals, rules and roles are clear and accepted, then people start delivering. But this will not
guarantee a winning performance.

Women team buckle up their performance after they lose their first match against Australia.

• ADJOURNING

As the project comes to an end, the team moves into the Adjourning stage. At this point, the team has
become very close and many of the team members will feel a sense of loss. For this reason, this stage is
also known as the Mourning stage.

The team started their tournament on not so good terms. Iqbal Gul was the best drag flicker they had.
Later when Kabir Khan Gave Jersey ‘GUL’ to her, she was on a different note.
