Chiang Ying Engineering Sdn Bhd is a mild steel pipes and specials manufacturing
company founded in 1975. The company manufactures steel pipes and specials with
Internal Concrete Lining & Reinforced External Bitumen Wrapping.

Our product Trade Mark is " CY ". We have been working closely with the water
supply authorities, pipe plumbers and the parties concerned in order to study
understand thoroughly the actual needs and always alert of customer's problem to
maintain our best service to them.

Therefore, we have merged to be "The preferred Choice for Partnership" in many

large government projects, contributing to the nation fast growth in the past decade.

Plant @ Silibin
CY's another manufacturing plant was built in Pengkalan II Industrial Park to meet
the increasing market demands for spiral welded pipes. Spiral welded pipes are well-known
for its better quality and consistency in pipe size forming and welding, hence higher
tensile strengths. With this upgraded technology, productivity is enhanced.
Our spiral forming machine is able to produce pipe size ranging from 150mm - 700mm.

Welded Collar Sleeve Joint
FIELD WELD
Short Sleeve Steel Split Collar of the same thickness to the
adjoining pipes. Suitable forjoining plain end pipes and WELD ON PIPES
specials as it can be welded either internally or externally.
The collar is inserted and aligned between the two adjoining
pipes end, making it easy to hold the pipes for welding
process.

Welded Spigot and Socket Joint

FIELD WELD INTERNAL WELD ON PIPES
Popular in the permanent pipelines joining where welders OUTSIDE 30'@ ABOVE

are able to perform task with normal welding process. EXTERNAL AFTER WELD
This design needs only a single circumferences weld, COATING
reducing workmanship cost and time, without affecting
the quality ofjoint.
Socket sleeves are sized to ensure the spigot enter socket
sleeve freely for good fit when inserted fully.
The penetration enhances and strengthens the tightness of
the joint.

Flanged Joints
Suitable for temporary or pernanent joint. Flange dimensions
usually to B.S.10 or B.S.4504 welded to one or two end of
pipes.
This design only requires simple assembly using bolts, nuts,
washers and joint rings in joining up two pipes, which could
be performed at the site of installation.

Mechanical Coupling
Recommended for pipelines having small
dimensions for lining. This coupling joins
two plain end pipe of same outer diameter
after being laid at site. For permanent and
temporary line joins, it also relieves the
contraction and expansion forces.
 Stepped Coupling
Used in joining plain end pipes of different external
(limited to maximum 12mm difference)

Flange Adaptor
Custom made for joining pipes and valves or other media.
Study on the pipes sizes will be conducted to ensure that the right adaptor being produced.

* Important Note to Customers

To obtain the accuratefit insertion ofthe coupling and flange adaptor to the pipes, precise external
diameter ofthe pipes to be connected are to be provided by users.

Attention should be on the accuracy of the external diameter of the pipes, especially existing old
pipelines buried underground wheie historical information of such pipelines are unobtainable and
might not comply to any of the existing standard.

The specification of the Flange Adaptor in the pipes and valves is of great significant for the old
pipelines.

Steps to measure the external diameter of pipes

1. Wash and clean the point on pipe surface to be measured thoroughly.

2. Measure the exact external diameter of the maximum outmost point of the pipe with a caliber
to obtain the measurement.
