ABOUT THE SYMPOSIUM AND WORKSHOP : Electrical and Electronic items have become a significant part of today’s world. With
improvement in digital technology, the life of E-products have reduced, thus promo ng consumerism and simultaneously
producing large quan ty of Electronic waste. The concern which the huge amount of E-waste lays on the developing economies is
humongous. This E-waste management issue has to be a ended at various fronts such as technical, economic and socio- cultural.
The major objec ve of this workshop is to provide the par cipants with the knowledge and understanding of how E-waste should
be handled, collected and sent for recycling. Thus, par cipants will be asked to make a blue print of their ac on plan by the end of
the event with the help of others and provide solu ons before they get back to their area of influence.
About ISWMAW : It is involved in spreading awareness, carrying out research and implementa on ac vi es in the areas related to
waste management world wide to promote environmentally sound waste management prac ces, effluent treatment, Air and
Water pollu on control prac ces and general environmental protec on awareness in different parts of the country and abroad.
RESOURCE PERSONS : Learned professionals and academicians from eminent ins tutes, representa ves from KSPCB/CPCB
authorized E-waste collec on companies/NGOs, recycling companies and other stakeholders will be addressing the par cipants.
POSTER PRESENTATION : Posters related to E-waste management are invited. Abstracts are restricted by a 250 word limit and
submit it by 08/01/2019.
