secs. It continues at constant velocity for 12 secs. More and is then stopped in 3 secs. With constant
deceleration. If the floors are 3.75 m apart, at what floor did the elevator stop?

A man who can row 4 km per hour in still water finds that he can row up stream in 7.5 hrs. a distance

then back to his original position in 30 minutes. Find the velocity.

Problem 9 (relative velocity)

Two men race around a circular track 1200 meters long. If they run in opposite direction they meet
every 3 minutes where as if they run in the same direction, they are side by side every 12 minutes. Find
their individual speeds.

A compound pulley shown weighs 800 N and has a centroidal radius of gyration of 0.6 m. the block are
