Vocabulary Words
Please know the spelling and definitions
of the words below:
1. evaporation: when a liquid turns into a gas.
2. condensation: when a gas turns into a liquid.
3. water vapor: water in gas form.
4. The water cycle: The cycle of the water evaporating
and condensing on earth.
5. clouds: Tiny droplets of condensed water vapor
floating high above the ground.
6. precipitation: Water that falls to the ground. Comes
in 3 main forms: rain, snow, and hail.

This Week’s Objectives
Reading/Writing: Students will continue reading
Johnny Tremain, which tells the story of a young
apprentice in Boston at the beginning of the
Revolutionary war. Students will begin writing an
informative essay on the events that led to the
American Revolution.
Grammar: Homophones: They’re /Their / There
Math: This week in math we will begin Module 5. This
module proceeds the interpretation of line plots which
include fractional measurements to interpreting fractions
as division and reasoning about finding fractions of sets
through fraction by whole number multiplication.
As always, we are continuing to work on writing about
math and thoroughly explaining our steps when solving.
Science: The Water Cycle
Social Studies: American Revolution
