4. Formability not as good as the austenitics

430 Basic Grade


1. 444  Higher Corrosion Resisting Weldable Grade
2. 409  3cr12 (Utility Grades With Increasing Toughness

C. Martensitic Stainless Steel  Cr 12-18%, High Carbon (0,1-1,2%)


1. Moderate corrosion resistance
2. Can be hardened by heat treatment and therefore high strength and hardness level can be
achieved
3. Poor weldability
